The scoring prowess of brothers TJ and Eoin Reid played a big part as Ballyhale Shamrocks claimed their fourth Kilkenny County Championship in-a-row.

The Shamrocks players created club history last Sunday by landing the Tom Walsh Cup for the fourth year in a row. This year’s victory was without a doubt the hardest earned of the four.

A super Eoin Reid point pushed the Leinster Championship to extra time in this exciting encounter between Ballyhale Shamrocks and Oulart-the-Ballagh. The game was played in front of a large crowd in Wexford Park on Sunday last.

Like father like son, the tradition lives on as strong as ever in the great Ballyhale Shamrocks team. It’s a real family affair on the senior hurling team. Especially with Michael Fennelly senior managing the troops and sons Michael and Colin leading them on the field. Another strong tradition for the Shamrocks is their winning tradition.
